With the intention of preserving and developing the handicraft industry of India and to redefine the essence of Indian design, the project concentrates on designing and developing a range of study products using the handicrafts of Karnataka. It primarily involves working with the lac turnery craft of Channapatna and integrating it with terracotta, metal and stone craft. This integration has led to development of such products which posses a great aesthetic
value and suit the urban tastes and requirements.
